The National 4-H Volunteer Conference hosted by the Volunteer Conference of Southern States invites volunteers, faculty, and staff to propose educational sessions for this year's conference. The conference theme continues from last year's theme of 4-H: Find Your Spark to 4-H: THRIVE in 2025!.  Our theme creates an atmosphere of excitement and engagement as we bring together volunteers from across the nation.

We want to reach a cross-section of 4-H volunteers and are planning a face-to-face conference with a few virtual options to engage those who may not be able to join us onsite. With this in mind, you will see questions in the proposal for you to consider multiple presentation options.

We have created a session preparation guide available online http://www.4hvcoss.com/conference-overview.html to help in your proposal. Please review the information prior to submitting the application.  It will help explain each of the information blanks as you prepare your submission.

As you submit proposals, one of your first decisions is to select a proposal type. Educational sessions include the following options:
  • Curricula & Idea Sharing - Thursday evening on-site with 10-20 minute rotations with groups
  • Curricula & Idea Sharing - Thursday evening virtual  presented via Zoom live
  • On-Site Workshops - Friday (90 or 120 minutes) and Saturday (60 or 90 minutes)
  • Virtual Workshops - Friday and Saturday presented via Zoom; 20-30 minute recorded content followed by audience and presenter interaction (Q&A, activities, etc.)
  • Pre-Recorded - 10-15 minute recorded presentations uploaded to the Conference library for on-demand viewing before the conference.

You may select one, two or even three methods for your proposal Keep in mind:
  • Curricula & Idea Sharing on-site is at the same time as virtual, so you cannot do both.
  • Virtual Workshops will be recorded, so we ask that you only select either Virtual or Pre-Recorded, but not both.
  • If your session is submitted in multiple formats it may be selected for presentation in one or two. Keep in mind that different formats have different goals and platforms.

You may submit multiple proposals - one for each workshop idea you have!
