The Advocacy Academy is a unique experience for those wishing to take the next step as a Texas 4-H Ambassador. You will not find another immersive leadership course like this anywhere else in the nation.
As you know the first year of the Texas 4-H Livestock/Equine Ambassador Programs was primarily focused on mentoring families and applying animal/equine science knowledge. In the Advocacy Academy, the course focuses on building your understanding of the importance of the political world surrounding agriculture, providing a global perspective of agriculture and giving you the tools to effectively educate others about agriculture. Most of our meetings and educational sessions will be in and around the Texas Capitol.
